Holwell Shuster & Goldberg Attorneys Climb 34 Flights of Stairs in Support of Nonprofit Her Justice
On October 19, five Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP attorneys climbed the Helmsley Building skyscraper in support of Her Justice, a nonprofit that recruits attorneys from New York City’s law firms to provide free legal help in family, divorce, and immigration law to women living in poverty in New York City.
The annual fundraiser, Story by Story, drew nearly 1,000 Her Justice supporters determined to help ensure that women living in poverty in New York City receive critical legal services that support their efforts to achieve safety, self-sufficiency, and stability. All proceeds from Story by Story benefit Her Justice.
Blair Kaminsky, partner at HSG and corporate representative to Her Justice, said “We climbed to honor the strong, determined women whose lives have been transformed by the services they received through Her Justice and to enable Her Justice to help more women who face similar legal challenges.” Additional participating HSG attorneys include Laura Aronsson, Lauren Giudice, Sarah Sternlieb, and Wendy Green.
In April 2017, HSG marked its fifth anniversary with a major financial commitment to Her Justice, establishing the firm’s role as a corporate partner. This act of giving back is consistent with the original conception of HSG as something much more than a business. The firm was founded not only to provide the finest legal representation to corporate clients, but also to contribute to the profession and society.
