Holwell Shuster & Goldberg Shortlisted by Benchmark Litigation for New York Law Firm of the Year and Boutique Firm of the Year
HSG Co-Founding Partner Michael Shuster Also Nominated for General Commercial Litigator Award
New York—For the second consecutive year, Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP has been recognized on Benchmark Litigation’s shortlist for New York Law Firm of the Year and Boutique Firm of the Year. Additionally, Mike Shuster has been shortlisted as one of only six lawyers nationwide for Benchmark Litigation’s General Commercial Litigator award.
Highlighted by Benchmark Litigation as being “widely and duly revered as among the preeminent litigation boutiques,” since its founding in 2012 HSG has led—and achieved winning results—in high-impact commercial disputes with the greatest financial and legal stakes. Among other recent wins, the firm secured dismissal at the trial and appellate levels of all claims against the National Basketball Association in an antitrust suit brought by a person disqualified from being a player agent.
Recognized as one of New York’s leading trial lawyers, Mike currently represents, among others, Visa as a defendant in multibillion-dollar national antitrust class actions and opt-out litigation relating to network rules at the heart of the Visa system and Chubb in national coverage litigation relating to opioids.
“We are proud of the success we’ve seen since our founding in 2012 and are honored to be recognized among such a distinguished group of firms,” said Richard Holwell, co-founder of HSG and former judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. “We are also delighted to see Mike selected by Benchmark Litigation as a finalist for General Commercial Litigator of the Year.”
Benchmark Litigation named HSG its New York Law Firm of the Year in 2016. The full list of 2023 award nominees can be found here.
