Byron Hazzard Discusses Decision to Join HSG with Law360 Pulse  

Law360 Pulse recently turned to HSG associate Byron Hazzard to discuss the trend of associates leaving Big Law to join boutique firms. In the article, Byron speaks about his decision to join HSG after his clerkship and the benefits of a smaller law firm environment.  

Byron notes, “I decided to do a fairly targeted search of small litigation boutique firms where I could still do the same high level of commercial litigation that I did at Sullivan & Cromwell, but also get a little more ownership by virtue of being on a smaller matter team and the ability to grow in that way.” 

At HSG, he added, “there’s no way for you to bump into someone in the coffee room and not have them introduce themselves. Everyone knows when someone is new.”
