Law360 Once Again Ranks Holwell Shuster & Goldberg as Number One in the Nation for Pro Bono
New York—For the second year in a row, Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP is ranked first in the nation in Law360’s Pro Bono Rankings for firms with less than 100 attorneys.
The annual ranking is based on the percentage of attorneys spending 50 hours or more on pro bono cases in 2023, which is the American Bar Association’s yearly recommendation for all lawyers, along with their full participation rate in pro bono activity and the average pro bono hours per attorney. HSG once again topped Law360’s list of firms with 100 or fewer attorneys.
“Pro bono work is part of our firm’s ethos,” said Vincent Levy, a partner at HSG and head of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. “We are extremely proud of the significant commitment our attorneys have dedicated on behalf of our pro bono clients and we are devoted to continuing this work.”
HSG lawyers have represented pro bono clients in matters ranging from class-wide civil rights litigation to habeas corpus petitions on behalf of indigent plaintiffs, including high-stakes commercial, immigration, and domestic relations matters. In one recent matter, the firm secured a pro bono win for a mother and domestic abuse survivor in a Hague Abduction Convention Case at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
In addition to the back-to-back recognition from Law360, HSG was also named Benchmark Litigation’s 2024 Pro Bono Firm of the Year. Learn more about the firm’s pro bono work here.
