Daniel B. Olton

Overview

Daniel Olton advises clients on a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters.

Before joining HSG, Daniel was a law clerk for the Honorable Jane A. Restani of the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. He also interned with the Department of Justice’s Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington, D.C., the New York City Law Department’s General Litigation Division, and the Office of the General Counsel for Oregon Governor Kate Brown.

Active in politics before entering law school, Daniel worked at the U.S. House of Representatives and on campaigns in Arizona and California, notably helping win two hotly contested congressional seats in 2016 and 2018.

While at New York University School of Law, Daniel served as the managing editor of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy, co-president and next generation leader of the American Constitution Society, teaching assistant to professor John Sexton, research assistant to Professor Helen Hershkoff, and rising tide student advisor for the Social Enterprise and Startup Law Group.
