Overview
Monica Coscia maintains a broad commercial litigation practice, with significant experience in high-profile antitrust and insurance-related disputes as well as federal appeals.
In 2024, Monica returned to Holwell Shuster & Goldberg after completing a clerkship with Judge Brian M. Cogan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Before joining HSG, Monica practiced as an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP. While at the Georgetown University Law Center, she served as executive articles editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. As a member of the Georgetown Law Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic, she drafted multiple successful appellate briefs in matters involving the First and Fourth Amendments.

- Various affiliates of Chubb in nationwide litigation with manufacturers and distributors of opioids, and national pharmacy chains that sold opioids, over insurance coverage for over 3,000 lawsuits brought by governmental entities across the country. HSG is national trial counsel to Chubb in opioid coverage litigation.
- Costamare, Inc. and related entities as plaintiff in Limitation Act matter and third-party defendant in a maritime action.
- Epic Games in separate antitrust matters brought against Google and Apple alleging monopolization.
- An individual, pro bono, in a Convention Against Torture appeal.
