Rebecca T. Moonitz
Overview
Rebecca Moonitz advises clients on complex commercial litigation matters, with particular expertise in mass torts and class actions.
A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Law, where she was a senior editor on the Michigan Law Review, Rebecca previously served as a legal intern in the Education Unit of Brooklyn Defender Services, where she worked closely with parents and students to obtain the educational services and disability support they needed to thrive in school. Rebecca also volunteered with Wolverine Street Law, where she educated local community members about legal rights and remedies on a variety of matters.
Her pro bono experience includes drafting and filing divorce papers and U-Visa applications in collaboration with Her Justice, and drafting portions of an amicus brief on deceptive interrogation practices.
Prior to joining Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, Rebecca was a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
Rebecca is admitted to the New York Bar.

Notable Cases
- Various affiliates of Chubb in nationwide litigation with manufacturers and distributors of opioids, and national pharmacy chains that sold opioids, over insurance coverage for over 3,000 lawsuits brought by governmental entities across the country. HSG is national trial counsel to Chubb in opioid coverage litigation.
