Jayme Jonat Named a Litigation Trailblazer by The National Law Journal
New York—Jayme Jonat, partner at Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP, has been named one of only 36 2020 Litigation Trailblazers by The National Law Journal. Her profile is available here.
The significant litigation matters Jayme is involved in have tested new legal theories and affected business practices across entire industries. They include her defense of Visa in antitrust litigation against many of the world’s largest retailers, and her representation of female employees in two first-of-their-kind workplace discrimination lawsuits against Frontier Airlines.
In a series of cases at the tip of the spear of the next burgeoning area in commercial litigation, Jayme also represented the government-owned investment fund AIMCo and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. in nine-figure litigation against multiple insurance carriers alleged to have improperly increased premiums on “universal life” insurance policies. Jayme and her team secured several important early wins in these high-profile cases.
Jayme is the fifth HSG partner to be named a Litigation Trailblazer. HSG’s four co-founders—Hon. Richard Holwell, Michael Shuster, Daniel Goldberg, and Dorit Ungar Black—have been previously recognized on the list.
